Marty Sawyers - President & CEO of Full Strength Network

Marty was recently named the President/CEO of FSN.  He previously served for 10 years as the executive pastor at Cornerstone Church in Chandler, AZ.  He has an MBA from Grand Canyon University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

He has a heart for the local church and ministry leaders and helping develop the next generation for leadership.  Marty and his wife Kris have two college age children and live in Chandler, AZ

Hugh White - Director of Sales and Partnerships

Hugh White is a preacher’s kid. He graduated from Penn State University in 1973 with a degree in business administration. Later in his career, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Grace Theological Seminary, graduating with honors in 1986.

Just prior to graduation from seminary, Hugh joined Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company and served there for 31 years, most of those years as chief sales and marketing officer helping the company become a national property/casualty specialist insuring America’s churches and related ministries.

In his role with Brotherhood Mutual, Hugh was instrumental in launching what became a nationwide educational movement in reducing the risk of child sexual abuse in the church, and later a second national campaign dealing with church security.

Hugh has been involved as a team leader with a decade-long business as mission and church planting initiative in Serbia in Eastern Europe. He also served for several years as board chair of the century-old Fort Wayne Rescue Mission and served on the board of Truth@Work–a marketplace ministry.

Hugh and his wife Becky have three grown children and five grandchildren.

 

Chuck Scoggins - Director of Marketing & Communications

Chuck is the former executive director at the Center for Church Communication, a leader in church marketing and communications, and a national speaker. He’s authored several books and has created hundreds of resources to help churches communicate better.

He also runs a digital marketing company and is passionate about helping churches, non-profits, and small businesses reach their potential by aligning their mission with the tools available to best meet the need.

Chuck is married with three children and lives just outside of Charlotte in South Carolina.

John Opalweski - Director of Peer Huddles

John Opalewski is a graduate of Oral Roberts University. He is an ordained minister, and author of Pastor Disaster: Confronting the Growing Crisis among Church Leaders; Unshakable You: 5 Choices of Emotionally Healthy People; Putting the Good in Goodbye: A Healthy Conversation About the Comings & Goings of Church People, and his newest book: Unshakable Leader: The Simple Yet Amazing Power of Alignment

John has served as an associate pastor, multi-site campus pastor, and lead pastor, and has held multiple leadership roles in the business world. John’s experience as a leader in both the church and business arenas has made him a sought-after international speaker, consultant, and mentor.

John, and his wife Laura, founded Converge Coaching in 2013.

Denny Howard - Director of Counseling & Coaching

Denny Howard served as director of the Vitality Care Institute since 2001 providing a wide range of proactive and restorative coaching/counseling services for those who serve in people-influencing vocations, such as non-profit and ministry leaders.

Denny was the founding director of the Family Care Center, a psychological service that was located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Family Care Center eventually gave rise to five separate Christian counseling practices. He is a state licensed clinician in mental health, a marriage/family therapist and a certified addictions counselor. He is an ordained minister and a graduate of George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

Denny was the host of a daily radio commentary called ‘Life Strategies’ for eight years and currently appears as a guest on a number of radio talk shows. He is also a featured speaker and conducts regular seminars on personality-based conflict, stress management, maintaining personal vitality and a wide range of interpersonal relationship issues. Speaking engagements have taken him to Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Denny is also the creator of the Livstyle Visual Personality Assessments (www.Livstyle.com) designed for the workplace, ministry, marriage, and youth. Livstyle assessments are utilized for personal growth, team building and selecting prospective employees.

Denny and his wife Debbie have both served in ministries here in the United States and in Europe. They reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana and have three adult children: Josh, Rebecca, and Tim.

Shar Schroyer - Director of Pastor Care

Shar Schroyer is a Masters-level psychologist with experience in the private sector as well as in a parachurch ministry. She enjoys a unique blend of traditional psychology perspective combined with ministry context that allows her to bring empathy and problem-solving to her position, Director of Pastor Care. As someone with several pastors in her family, she has a heart for helping clergy thrive in ministry leadership.

Sheila Grant - Finance Coordinator

Sheila Grant is walking in God’s grace. As a stroke survivor, she is witnessing God transforming her life.

Sheila graduated with honors, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Currently, as President of Grant Business Solutions, she is helping organize their financial records with a focus on helping churches.

Sheila and her husband, an ordained minister, are active in their home church reaching out to help heal the hurting souls in their community. Sheila is passionate about living a life of servitude to those in need.

Bryan Stine - Vice President Program Development

Bryan is passionate about the church and her role in spreading the Gospel and making disciples. He believes Full Strength Network plays an integral role in serving pastors and church staff so they can lead their congregations in a way that edifies the Body of Christ and produces ultimate glory for God.
